we stayed at star when we went to alton towers perfect for location but the site was in quite a bad way when we went in 2007 it had been really wet and we couldnt pitch for hte wind (obviously not the campsites fault) but it was quite a bad experience for us we would go there again though cos it sis only 5 minutes from alton tower
------------- A tent is like a newborn born baby..... to some they all look the same..... but if its yours it's beautiful.

Star looks good and its nice and close to alton towers but have you read the terms and conditions,i,m not a noisey caravaner but no kids scooters scate boards or roller boots whats that all about
have you spoken to the idiot that I presume owns it?
Lets just say he is well overdue for a refund from the Charm School.
If you dare to phone and ask about prices or availability just be warned you get better customer services from British rail.

Stayed at Star many years ago in a static and all seemed OK then. Booked in for Leek C&CC this year.

Ive stayed at Quarry walk a few years back camping before and it was a decent site , pretty tranquil , helpfull wardens etc
. I wasnt on the tent field though as i had an electric caravan pitch which was in its own bay with gravel hardstanding and grass , and i just managed to fit the tent on the grass. there was a decent sized grass pitching field though. There is a little play park on site too

Quarry Walk is a nice site, in Freehay, just outside Cheadle (Stoke on Trent). Also Glencote in Leek is excellent.
