Last time I went to Barmouth (October 08) it was looking rather sad and tired. Most of the shops were boarded up and even the 'fun-fair' looked far from fun. We stayed ina friends terraced house and the 'local' living opposite was making a roaring trade selling drugs from his downstairs window. (I was later told plod had raided the place)
As an area to visit though, I dont think you can beat the beaches and stunning Snowdonian scenery.
Such a shame that the local authority don't recognise what a little gem Barmouth can be. Oh well.
