We need a few days at a site near the Guilford or Leatherhead area to find my grandad's final resting place and see the area where my mother was raised. Somewhere quiet with a hookup would be good, and a CL would be OK. We'd be happy to book into a bigger site as long as it's quiet! We will be travelling down in August so I guess we're asking for too much?
------------- There's nae pooches in a shroud, so spend it before the Government does it for you!
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
There is a Camping and Caravanning site at East Horsley. It is about 10 minutes down the A3 to Guildford and about 15 minutes the other way to Leatherhead. Usual nice clean C & C facilities and friendly, helpful wardens. It is not a very big site but has two toilet/shower blocks. There are pitches around the central lake and in two larger areas beyond. All the pitches are flat though there are no hedges etc between them. We have camped there several times as a group of 'mums with kids' during the school holidays in August and we were probably the noisiest people there - we were all tucked up in bed asleep by 10pm! They take bookings from non-members and have pitches with electric hook-up. After three years of lovely visits we are being brave and trying further afield this year, so it will be even quieter this August!
