Hi Everyone,

Hoping someone can help me.  I am looking for a site in Cornwall on the west coast (if thats where Hayle is).  I have looked and looked and am now very confused

I want somewhere with lots of room for the kids to play, where i can see them. I will be on my own for 5 days with 4 of the little angels so need to be able get on with tea or relax but keep an eye on them aswell.

EHU

Play area within sight. A large field with play area in centre would be great.

Family shower / bathroom and decent toilets

No club or activities just a quiet site really.

Close to a beach if poss (closer the better)

I know its alot to ask for but there must be a site out there that is just perfect for us. (I just can't find it)

Oh we are going for 10 days july/august fingers crossed.

Have you looked at Gwithian farm, (I don;t know how to do links but should come up in the camp site search)

Never stayed there but looks nice,

We used to go to Treglisson touring park also in Hayle which was lovely but not sure if it has family bathrooms,

May be worth a check.

Polmanter, St Ives
Ayr Holiday Park, St Ives
Little Trevarrack, Carbis Bay, St Ives
Godrevy Park CC Site, Hayle Towans, Hayle
Calloose Caravan Site, Leedstown, Nr Hayle

All these sites have modern facilities and cater for families. All of them except Calloose are within walking distance of the beaches and even then Calloose is only 10-15 minutes in the car from the nearest beach.

Hope this helps.

Vic

I think Polmanter fits the bill quite well but it may already be fully booked for when you want to go as it is a very popular site. Gwithian is a great site but has no dedicated play area / field so does not really fit the bill. Have a look on the Polmanter website as you can view the site plan and zoom down onto the pitches, you will be able to see the play area.

Silversands on the lizard fits the bill, but is the otherside of Helston, not sure if that's too far from Hayle for you, but is really is a lovely site

Mother Iveys Bay.

You dont say when you want to go but in the summer they open up another field. (If you look on google maps you will see it - it's the one with the playground in).

Has its own beach with Boobys Bay and Constantine Bay a few mins walk.

The loos get a bit grubby with sand at high season but you have to expect that with having its own beach.

Worth a look along with all the other wonderfull recomendations.

Hello...

Valley View at Blackwater is within 5 miles of some lovely beaches.  Quiet and family orientated.  Worth a look if you are still looking.

Good Luck!
