Just  a quick line for anybody who has booked this site for what could be a busy time, ie spring bank, whit week, just ring before you go and ask , (a) if electrics are sorted, (b) if not how ,many pitches are booked , this will determine wether or not the supply stops on.

Also if having the kids play area open is an issue , ask if thats open as well.

Will be reviewing  the site soon .

Aye, Steve the site manager did try his best but overbooking seemed to be the problem as alledgedley they had the problem LAST year, will be writing to the owner, the waste  disposal point, not for the faint hearted.

cant believe they havn`t sorted the electric out yet we were there last easter in the snow the electric was on 1 hour a day at the most we were absolutly freezing.

Well when we were there even though the electric was a problem i can remember steve saying it had something to do with national parks stopping the posts going up, so hopefully it will be sorted for the next time we go

we went to york house for whitby regatta last august- NEVER in 20 years of caravanning have we pulled off a site without unhitching.  The pitch allocated would not take our charisma 230 -small 2 berth- and when we tried to pitch our van was touching next doors awning.  Two other vans with us were already there and they had problems with the electricity. we know of others that had seasonal pitches and have pulled off for this season - apparently it has had new owners with the mindset of as many as possible never mind the comfort or fire regulations.

when we were at york house a few weeks ago there was lots ov room next to us and the pitch next door  the electricity was a problem but i have to give it to the staff they did try there best to keep it on they came around all the vans in the rain to explain what was going on and did offer us a refund for the electricity going off and if we had any problems they were happy to help we were there last year and you can tell by all the work that has been done it has been took over
