Good evening everyone, Could anyone recommend a site with a seasonal pitch within one hour's drive from Wigan, We are looking to site our tourer within one hour so we can use it otherwise it'll spend another year on the driveway!  I have changed occupations 2 years ago and because it now involves most weekends being worked it is hard to sum up enough time/energy to sort it and hitch it up.  If we can find a suitable site my Wife will drive there and use it most weekends with our son.  Thanks for your help in advance.:-)

Hi Dav 806

Have you had any luck finding anywhere yet????????????

It will be our first full year on a seasonal but up to now we are certainly getting our use out of it,  just pack a bag and the cool bag ang where off. We have had about 20 nights so far  and many more to come, so it is money well spent for us.

All seasonal pitches so far seem dear at around £1400 per year, we would not get the use from it, Someone I work with pays £750 but its in Anglesey so a bit too far for the wife to drive by herself.  The cheapest I have heard of and I dont think anyone will beat it is £240 per year, yes I had to ask twice, £20 per month but I believe you get what you pay for so as the site is down south somewhere I wont be asking for more information!!

Hi Dav806

I have heard of sites that store your van and will put it on a pitch when you require it, i dont no if that works out any cheaper. Our pitch is costing £1200+ rates but we hope to get plenty use out of it. Just hope we have a good summer another 6 month like this last week will be great.
