we do a lot of canoeing, although we use inflatable canoes, depends if you want river , lake or sea canoeing, there are plenty about, bala lake, rivery wye, river severn
etc check out this site for canoeing info canoes
good luck maybe see you on the water, what do you paddle???
That's an interesting link cheesy. We bought an inflatable canoe last year and have just returned from Hill of Oaks caravan site where we were able to launch the canoe direct onto Windermere. It's a great site for canoeing as it seems to be quieter down that end of the lake.
Seems access to water is severley limited in this country though.

Glad you found the link good, we use that site a lot nearly as much as this one (lol) with us both loving camping and canoeing they go well together.
They are a helpful bunch and you can ask them anything just like on here.
We normally post out trip bloggs just done one for Ironbridge
Access is a pain in England, no problem in scotland though
Sorry to hijack thread, what inflatable canoes do you have, we have looked at the sevylor ones in the past as they seem good quality,
OH wants a rigid one, I want an inflatable as she drives an MPV and its a bugger getting stuff on and off the roof. (Especially as she is only 4'10 and it'll be me hanging off the side of the things trying to get it on.) !!
We've not been able to decide yet
------------- Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
we have 2 inflatable canoes both are sevylor hubby has hudson a 3 seater and i have the voyageur which has now been revamped and improved and rename canyon
both are excellent having done some sea, river and lakes, with our 2 boys 7 and 9
We love them for the ease of portability and can just chuck them in the boot with the dog and away we go.

I have the Colorado and have found it really stable, especialy on the sea and on Windermere a couple of weeks ago when it was really blustery. You don't get the feeling it will tip over and I suspect with two big inflatable bags down either side it won't either. The big advantage is being able to put it all in the boot rather than on the roof, then being able to store it at home in a cupboard etc.
