We are going to Witches Craig nr Sterling on Sunday, the site looks lovely and all the reviews are good, so I can't wait .Hopefully the good weather will last but I don't really hold out much hope of that.OH will be at work during the day so it will be just me walking the dog, shopping and chillin', I'm just looking forward to being off work. On the way back home we are booked onto Haggerston Castle for the bank hols, both sites are a first for me, Anyone else going or been to any of the sites ?

you will love witches craig rosie. we are frequent visitors to the site & area, if you fancy a walk there is a tea room with farm shop just along the road.
been to haggerston castle too, its near us. went in a static years ago. can't really comment on the touring part.
There are some fantastic walks for you and the dog in the area. Most start with a fairly steep climb into the Ochils but it is fantastic if you get a good day. The coffee bothy previously mentioned is very good too.

Have camped at Witches Craig many times, it is a nice site with good clean toilets/showers. The only problem at times, mostly early evening, is that because it sits beside a long straight stretch of road is the racers(both bikers & cars)that rip along it.
Having said that it would/will not put us off in going back.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Thanks for the replies, we decided to leave today and have stopped over at Haggerston Castle to break the journey, we will go to Witches Craig tommorow. Val OH is based at Kincardine Bridge, he is working on pylons in the area. I'm really looking forward to going to the week ahead the site looks lovely.
Anyone going to the site this weekend? We are booked Sat - Mon. Maybe see you there - we have the Coleman XL - feel free to stop by for a beer!! - weather is set for sun so the kettle will not be on - just realised that rhymes.
