I really have no idea where to go for 5 days in the May school holidays. I would ideally like somewhere with lake fishing to keep the husband happy and then somewhere with things to go and see and do for a 6 year old.

I live in East Anglia and dont really want to travel any more that 4 hours.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

Assuming your holidays are merely a half-term including the Bank Holiday Monday, you may not get a lot of choice this close, to be honest. Whereabouts in East Anglia are you? My mental map of the area extends from Lowestoft to Peterborough or so and Boston-ish to Colchester (which in themselves may take a couple of hours). Is the Peak District, or the upper Cotswolds too far, for instance?
