Can anyone recommend a nice site in the Lakes.

Requirements are:

Not too big a site

EHU

Clean showers & loos

Dont need all singing and dancing site - We are on our own so dont need to entertain children etc

Any ideas would be helpful - have looked at sites on here but seem to be going round in circles

Seriously - for one minute - Eskdale is a wonderful site with really great managers

just wish I could have it all to myself!

You never mentioned price !! If that is not a concern then The Quiet Site, Ullswater. Ideal for couples and families, has an oldy worldy bar....but I do think it has gone very expensive.

Delighted to hear all the good things about Eskdale. Just booked 2 weeks in July. I chose the site as it is away from the crowds but still accesible to the rest of the lakes.

My kids are really excited and my son has already resolved to 'do' The Old Man of Consiton.
