Noticed this morning that this excellent site was now a Adult only site. This is not true. So if anyone has been looking at this site and passed it by because of this mistake, think again you will not be dissapointed.

We are going again for 3 weeks in July and August and just love its location.

I think it was 4 years ago when we went to this campsite and it was a lovely spot, showers & toilets a bit dodgy, but the peace and quiet made up for that. It was then an adult only site, but the new owners were going to change that for the following season.

The site has never been a adult only site , but did have a few weeks before the main school holidays when it was adult only.

There have been alot of improvements over the last few years especially the toilets and showers. The site shop is now well stocked, if you arrive and find you have forgotten somthing, the shop may well have it.

To say that the new owners have only been there 4 years , they have improved it immensley, bearing in mind that they are only allowed to open for the short summer season. Therefore with that in mind and the unpredictable british weather, funds to complete projects could be a little low and put them back until the following year.

Ahh yes I forgot that sorry you're right!! went in june when it was first taken over and you're right about the adult only weeks (you jogged my memory) While we were there birds were nesting in the showers, I loved watching them. But the loos werent very clean, no hot water to the basins. But the peace and quite, space and prettiness of the site more than made up for that. Popped in there 2 years ago for some gas while we were staying at Polmanter and the tents were practically jammed in.... not for us.

Just looked at the website and it says that it has an Adults Only Camping Area. That would suggest to me that just part of it is Adults Only with the rest of it open to the masses.

OH remembers when we were there, Chris and Mandy were thinking of using the field by the house as an adult only area for the following season, but this sight is not huge so I dont see the point in that. If its peace & quiet you want you stilll wont get it as that area is too close to the rest. (by the way I'm not anti children have a daughter and 2 gorgeous granddaughters of my own) just sometimes we like a very peaceful site.
