Just booked a motorhome to hire for the first time. Have wanted to do this for ages and now took the plunge! Is there any advice/suggestions that anyone can give me for first timers?. If all goes well thinking of buying one, thought this was a good way to try before I buy!

We are going to tour around north yorkshire, stopping at different campsites each night. Any reccomendations which campsites we should try? We would like sites that cater for young children with some activites such as play parks and a pub would be good {for me!}

Hi, welcome to the forum. 

The best thing you can do is go onto the site search pages as they give good information.   Then if you find any that take your fancy you can check on the reviews as a lot of users say what the kids facilities etc are like.

We've been caravanning for years and pick up our first motorhome in about a week's time so we're taking the plunge too!!

At the moment i'm sat in my motorhome at Burrs counrty park Bury 0161 7610489 85 pitches mostly hardstanding,excellent site well maintained, steam trains runnig at bottom of site, pub on site, huge dog walking areas ie park & river walks, activity centre next door, famous Bury market within 1 mile. This is a Caravan Club site but info booklet states open to non members £14.80 pn at moment

I am aware this is Lancashire not North Yorkshire, but sometimes you do need a backup plan
