  Unfortunately Ashfield no longer accept tents this year, we camped there last September and liked it, rang up to book for Easter, but sadly no more tents.

  Jon, there are three campsites that are on the Pickering/Malton road, which are literally 5 minutes away from Flamingoland including Black Bull, Uppercarr and Carr House Farm.  Otherwise put Pickering into the campsite search, with sites such as Vale of Pickering which is the otherside of Pickering, but again probably only 15 minutes away (by car)

  Other than these look out for other sites (when you look at the Pickering sites) such as those in and around Cropton and Dalby forests which are probably 25/30 minutes away at most

When are you planning on going?   
We camped at Flamingoland last October, and because we spent most of our time in the park it was worth what we paid - far cheaper than day passes.     We did one of their off peak deals.   Because it was off peak the huge site was almost empty.    Saying that one of the security wardens warned us that it got very packed during the school summer holidays.
The shower were very room, with plenty of hot water.   Loos nice and clean.
We are planning on going back in October.
