Hi there, can anyone recommend a a stop over site near Birmingham? We are in the Caravan and Camping club and phoned up Conkers today but they will only do a minimum of 2 nights each way. Is this the case with all C&CC sites then?

They said they would try and fit us in and we should phone on the day.... er, family of five, trailer tent on way to France, I don't think so.

Just want a pleasant, quiet and no hassle site to get a decent stopover sleep on a Saturday night. BTWY Guines in France is an absolute gem of a stopover site - it is so good we now stop over for a few nights there!

Any suggestions welcome

Thanks, Kevin.

Have you tried the C+CC site at Kiingsbury Water Park?  Not too far from Birmingham but a quiet area.

Hi, we just gave Kingsbury a call - they were closes so we phoned the C&CC direct. Same story, minimum two nights. We must be the only people driving from the Scottish Highlands to the Continent every year!

Thanks anyway

Don't know if Stafford is too far north? there is a CS (Camping and Caravan Club Certificated Site), Dunston Heath which is easy access from J13 of the M6, for which you would need to be a club member.
