We are going to Woodlands near Wareham in Dorset for the B/H week-can't wait
Just hope the weather improves a bit.
We hope to walk along the coastal path, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Kimmeridge etc are all worth a visit. But we don't know the area well at all, so it will be interesting if anyone can come up with some suggestions of other places to go.

It's worth making the trip to Lyme Regis, very nice there. Portland Bill is worth a drive as well but be prepared for it to be windy, it always is!! There are lovely views towards Chesil Beach. To the north of the county, Milton Abbas is a beautiful village. Sherborne, where I live is very nice as well. The castle was owned at one time by Sir Walter Raleigh. In fact, most places in Dorset are lovely really!!

We are off to Lytchett Minster on Thursday, looking forward to seeing this part of Dorset. Does anyone know which beaches allow dogs on ? Would love to go to Lulworth Cove are the dogs allowed on there ? Lets hope the weather is better than it has been this weekend !!

Thanks everyone - have been to Lulworth, Poole, Chesil a number of times and if time will probably visit again. Perhaps the NT Sites will be worth spending a few hours on. You know what its like, its not until you've returned from an area and tell someone where you've been and they say "Oh, did you go to ....., you really should have" and you find you missed the best place of all. Im writing this Sunday evening and after the weekend we've had with the boys at their local football tournament, trying to keep a gazibos nailed to the field, stay dry and warm etc, camping is not my at the top of my want lists at the moment and really not relishing the thought of going away now. Bring on the sun .....please!
