yes we went about 4 years ago they have there own club on site which do meals. toilets/ showerblocks nice and clean gravel pitches too so if you want to use your awning take strong pegs. not a bad little site very clean. but i think a weekend is long enough there as there is not much to do.
not been here for about 8yrs myself but i work with somebody who had a van on there, the site is just as joanne described with mainly statics and the clubhouse has now been knocked down and is being replaced by a small indoor pool which should be open in the summer
If your looking for a site in that area Terry, you can sometimes get last min pitches at Holgates in Silverdale due to the pitch fees being higher than most but definately worth every penny(our fav site) round there..

Hi all,
Thanks for the info. but if what Debbie says about the clubhouse is right then we wont bother with this one.
Still wonder why this site wont allow reviews.
Still looking hopelessly for somewhere for the bank hol weekend!
We've been a couple of times, the last being about 2 years ago and we really liked it. Bit gutted that the pub has gone though as we enjoyed it in there. Just looked at their website which gives details of the new leisure complex. Wonder if the fact that they don't allow reviews is anything to do with that it is owned by the same group that own Billing Aquadrome, which from what I remember used to attract some really bad reviews!
Rusty - have you looked on their web site?
Seems like the clubhouse is being replaced by a more modern leisure club.
We lived not too far from there for a while (but didn't know it existed) and OH has done some relief work (in the distant past) at the Leisure Village.
I'd be tempted to give it ago if the price were right as it is well situated for lots of areas of the Lakes Morecambe, Lancaster, North Yorks areas.
We wrote/phoned a long list of sites without any success and then bingo!
A cancellation!
We are now booked in to Elm Cottage in Cheshire. Not as far away as we were willing to go, but the site looks pretty good on their website, and to be honest we would have settled for anywhere!
Hope the sun shines for everyone!
Have a great weekend!
