Pager33 - the couple next to us walked to the nearest village, which would have been across fields etc. The village has a nice local pub, very friendly, but we did drive there, depends on whether you're ok to walk about across fields in the dark.
Nora - there were 3 caravans staying there when we were there plus a motorhome and another motorhome arrived the day we were leaving. The road might feel long, but it's only 1.5 miles from the main road and is hardly used at all. The owner is the local farmer and the only traffic we saw was his tractor. I hope you'll give it a go one day!
