My parents used to live in Ullapool, and golden eagles used to be sighted at 'the head of the loch' - so Ullapool or Achiltibuie campsites (but not from the campsite). And its pretty far north!!!
On Mull they have sea eagles, and there is a place with a hide where you can go to look. When we were there we saw a golden eagle as well as the sea eagles. I would think there would be campsites on Mull, but I don't know for sure.
We saw a couple of eagles last year on Skye - weren't camping but saw campsites. Also I used to live on Islay and there were eagles there...at least 2 campsites though I think.
------------- jeh, used to camp with family inc.disabled son. Now older, so just 2 of us in Boxer based campervan
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
We are off to Mull soon, staying on Balmeanach site, this and Sheilings are the only 2 sites in Mull which can be reached by ordinary road from the Oban ferry. There is one at Tobermory which involves a few miles of single track road (has ehu if you need it), and one called Fidden Farm near Fionnphort, lots of single track to get here and no ehu.
There are lots of places to see eagles I believe (hope!).

Absolutely no idea what-so-ever. But would like to say "Hello and welcome to the forum." First post!!
I'm hoping to see Ospreys in the Lakes this coming week.
If your interested in Ospreys, have alook at this great weccam, not the lakes, but Dunkeld, Scotland. we also visited the reserve after following them online.
