Can anybody suggest a site to camp around the New forest area for a family with children of 12 and 9.  Looking for a site with a pool and an area to play football / cricket.  Shop and nice bar area would also be good.  Thanks.

 Sandy Balls? I haven't tried any in that area but if you go to camp site  search there are two pages of places to have a look at

Im off to Sandy balls on Tuesday, never been before but everyone I know thats been says its fantastic. I dont know if you would be able to get a pitch though as you have to book way ahead especially in the school holidays. Ive tried to book a couple of dates for the summer holidays but they were fully booked.

Check the type of pegs you will need, seem to remember something about pegs mentioned on here before.  Can't remember any more though the sun has sapped the little brain power I had.

Just done a search on 'sandy balls' and quite a few members mentioned rock pegs.  Might be an idea to do a search as well to see what it is that is being suggested.
