......... Around the Sheffield area (20ish miles)that has EHU/showers they don't have to be fancy showers All the sites I have looked at on here are either fully booked for the dates I want or right next to a main road/railway track or there was some other problem that came to light after reading a review
I have also looked on other sites and now my eyes are going squiggly with the looking and I've lost the will to live lol

Hi Steve, Have you looked at Greensprings in Barnsley. Haven't stayed there myself but it has good reviews.
Some people had an issue with motorway noise at Greensprings and I'm a light sleeper So it's on the list as a reserve Thanks for the suggestion
As for sticking a pin in the map bin there done that lol
I have about 7/8 sites on a list that I keep going back to have a look at and every time I go and look I find a fault with one and it gets knocked off the list
Favourite at the moment is the Teversal CC&C site but it might be a bit too far south
Holme Valley C&C Park is also on the list So is Laneside in Hope but again they have things that I'm not happy with nothing major just me being picky

hi, we just come back from 4 nights at golden valley caravan park in ripley 9 miles off junc 26 m1, it was really really good. loads to do for kids, showers nice and clean, ehu all round the park, we left yesterday and it wasnt that busy, not as many as there had been from friday to monday. its not got any reviews on here but it is excellent and i am a bit picky im afraid so would be the first to say! we off back in the summer hols we enjoyed ourselves that much.
The reason I am off to Sheffield is that my son is doing a 4 day Engineering taster course at the UNI So rather than drive up to Sheffield then home again the same day I thought I would try and find a site fairly close and stay at for 4 nights but having difficulty choosing a site

Well I went and booked Laneside mainly because it was slightly closer and I couldn't find any prices for Holme Valley So starting in June I have a least 4 night away every month till September
Explain please Mrs Bonce and have you done a review as all the reviews I have seen of Holme Valley were favourable The only reason I didn't book was that I couldn't find a price Didn't want to ring up and get stung for £20 a night lol
Stayed there a few years ago, before the days of UKCS. Unless things have improved, it has poor access, run down facilities and someone tried to steal our caravan wheels! Wasn't very cheap either if I rememeber correctly.
