At last we are close to venturing out for our first trip with the Pathfinder (bought it before Xmas at a price we couldn't miss but unable to use it so far due to our hectic work schedules) and in early July we are going to take in a bit of seaside and combine it with a visit to Beaulieu. Apart from the New Forest sites, anyone know of some decent sites to look for somewhere between Beaulieu and the sea? We are C & C members and yes, we know there is probably ample info in the big site book etc but there is nothing like personal recommendation, eh?

we have just returned from a fabulous week at Hillside campsite in Verwood. It's just outside the New Forest, near Ringwood but we did daytrips to both Beaulieu and the beach at Poole with no probs.

It depends what sort of site you're looking for - Hillside is very tranquil, ideal for children as it's small and safe but has good clean facilities. It is a C & C certified site (classed as a 'hideaway site') We will definitely be going back.

It is reviewd on this website - that's how we discovered it, and they also have their own website (I think it's www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=4927 but not sure on that!)
