Just wondering if anyone can recommend a campsite in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Somerset, or on the borders of any of these.  I want decent showers and somewhere in nice surroundings.  My daughter wants a play area (suitable for 8 year old) or area to play games.  My husband wouldn't say no to a pub within walking distance.

Hoburne Cotswold is good, they have a bar and a good play area, and fabulous showers!

Hi Happycat

why dont you try Whitemead in the Forest of Dean, plenty of activities for your 8yr old and a bar with entertainment for your husband! You couldnt ask for better surroundings, the scenery is spectacular and there are loads of local walks and cycle paths near by.

You could also think about one of the Forest Holiday sites that are in the Forest. Plenty of space and in beautiful area but it would be a fair walk to a pub.

There is a lovely little campsite called Greenway at Drybrook, beautiful showers and onsite cafe but alas no pub, lol.

I also secound Hoburne Cotswold but its not in your specified areas. But if thats not an issue i can also recommend several in Herefordshire,Postern Mill, beautiful clean showers, loads of play area, pitch and put, table tennis and a pub/restaurant onsite. Also Lucksall, gorgeous pitches that back onto the river and you can hire out canoes, big open play park, walkingish distance to a pub.

Hope these are of help to you, any questions just ask

C & CC site at Blackmore near Malvern is great, play area for the kids, great toilet block and its a nice walk along a fairly quiet road (footpath on the side) to a really nice pub near the village green in Hanley Swan, You do not have to be a member although it does give you some discount if you are .
