We have been to both of these sites and I can say they are both great.
We have just returned from our first visit to Rudding at half term and is it a great site. We have 3 kids 13,10 & 9 and they preferred this site to Ripley. I personally liked Ripley for its relaxing atmosphere but its all about keeping the kids happy.
Rudding has a small outdoor pool which the kids loved, especially with the lovely weather although it was £2.50 a session (about 1hr 30mins not bad). there is also a decent play park, which would did suit all our kids. Best of all they are both situated next to the small pub (prices were reasonable) so you can have a drink and keep an eye on the kids at the same time. The quiz night was great fun too!
The pitches are a good size and everyone seemed to respect the unspoken 11pm quiet curfew. The toliet facilities were good in the main block with lots of showers (although I shouldn't complain I found them too hot!!!!). There were a number of dogs on site too so I would feel it is dog friendly.
Rudding is more expensive than Ripley but we would defiinitly visit again. I hope this is of some help to you.
