Holmans Wood Chudleigh Devon. Not much on site but well run with a great camping meadow and central for everything. There is an outdoor pool in the village and also you can use the facilities at the place down the road with wooden lodges whose name evades me.....
Getting to the coast is easy with Teignmouth, Dawlish and the entire English Riviera just a few miles away. Dartmoor on your doorstep and also Exeter with the lovely Quay and canal or shopping if you prefer.
Wooda in North Cornwall because it is near to the fab beaches at Bude and also handy for Tintagel, Padstow etc.

Re the site in Cornwall, you will do no better than Tregarton Park, near Mevagissey. We have just spent the bank holiday week there, great people, fabulous site, check it out, http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=1477

Petpin,
Important: If you are posting details of a site, please ensure you link to their UKCampsite.co.uk listing, not direct to their website, to enable reviews etc to be read!
