We usually go to the New Forest for little breaks but finding it a bit pricey so thinking of exploring the durdle door - does anyone know of any good campsites they would recommend??? not a fan of eve entertainment but do like a nice shower!! or at least not too much of a queue and a pretty site!

east fleet in weymouth is a lovely site thats not that far from durdle door has good reviews on this site it is part of a working farm so not eve entertainment there is however a barn that is now a small pub
Try Woodlands. It is a lovely quiet simple site, tents only, no EHU. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The showers are very clean and warm enough, there is no bar etc on site a few good pubs nearby.
It is about 10 mins drive to the coast at Lulworth Cove. From there it is a beautiful cliff top walk to Durdle Door. It would probvably take 15 - 20 mins or so to drive there. Lots of other lovely coastal places nearby, as well as plenty of other stuff to do.
Definitelty check out Tom's Field in Langton Matravers, near Swanage. Great site; basic but clean and more than adequate shower block. Quiet and relaxed vibe and lovely walks from the site. Near picturesque Corfe Castle too.

There is actually a campsite at Durdle Door, didn't use it ourselves but saw people coming down for the coast path.Try Durdle Door Campsite on campsite search. We had a fantastic holiday in Dorset recently, loads to do. Hope you have a good time
Would definitely second...and third!)... East Fleet Farm. A cracking site, staff are tip top, good pub & shop on site, just up the road from just about everywhere!!

What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about....?
The campsite at Durdle Door itself is really nice (although it's been a few years since we stayed there), you are right on top of the cliff's overlooking Durdle Door itself - the views are worth staying there alone!
