Mmmm....difficult. I think you'll probably meet hoards of kids wherever you go at that time of year, but I know what you mean. Our kids are grown up now and we prefer some where quieter.
The west coast is not the easiest of places to get from top to bottom without heading inland at some point. I think I'd come down the A9 to Inverness and then the A82 from there. You could then head for Arisaig where there are several small sites all next to the beach or perhaps go over to Skye. Or go to Lochaline, get the ferry to Fishnish on Mull and go to Fidden Farm near Iona which is exactly the kind of site you are looking for if a little further.
