Hi Newbie here, great forum been lurking for a while.

We're going camping in Filey in a couple of weeks and have the usual dilemma about keeping cool box cool. We're hoping to top up with some bags of ice half way through our stay but wonder if anyone knows of a supermarket either in Filey or nearby e.g. Scarborough that sells bags of ice.

Any info greatly received.

We went to the Blue Dolphin in May and found it impossible to get ice apart from the NISA supermarket on the main street in Filey near the banks.

thanks both, that's really helpful. We've been to Filey a few times before (non camping) so I'm sure we'll find it okay.

  Being a small town, we haven't got much to choose from, however we have a small Somerfield and a (very spic and span) Heron, as well as a Mills (which has Nisa brands) so you should be able to pick up some ice okay.

Just a thought but have you thought about asking in a pub, i'm sure they would fill a couple of airtight plastic bags.

We are planning on being out and about quite a bit though around Filey, Scarborough etc.We love it down there.
