This site? http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2589

Are they really asking for £51 per night during high season for a large tent?

I visited this site some years ago now and found it quite good but in no way does it warrant a nightly cost of this amount during 2009.

Brean sands? No beach, no own and only Weston super mare up the road !! Jeeeeezuz !

If i am completely wrong please tell me otherwise !

So i was seeing correctly then !! An absoloute outrage as far as i am concerned ! £50 odd quid per night to live in your own accomodation! OK, I did look to see how much a "large tent" was and it said £7 per night low and mid season and £15 per night high season !

I have written to them aswell, asking if the price was a misprint !

I have just been and had another look at their tariff and am still gobsmacked at the price !

If i have three kids, dog and a large tent the price is £57.50 per night, surely no site is worth that much no matter how "good" it is !

It would also appear that they class a large tent as anything covering an area over 15ft square, approx 3m x 3m, which would mean the vast majority of tents that are used for a weeks holiday will attract the "supplement" of £15 per nigh in high season.

This site should be boycotted by all until such time the prices are bought back down so something classed as realistic !

We were going to go on one of their July specials when it was half price for a week but that was up until 16th. Would have been about £80 with ehu.

I do have a large tent but previously I've just asked for pitch Y91 on the green field which is alot bigger. I did this the last time we went because the year before did pay the extra £5 p/n (noe £7p/n) and was shown to an ordinary pitch, when told warden I'd paid for large pitch he showed us to Y91, so following year I just requested that pitch and got it but may be difficult in school hols

I wouldn't pay those prices either so were off somewhere else this year.

i stay at northam farm alot throughout the year as its only an hour down the road so its good for short get aways, theve always been good to us, only fault we found is some of the w****r do owners who seem to think they dont have to pick up there dogs waste even though there are loads of kids about. we paid £69 for 3 night over may bank hoilday with EHU which is the most expensive nights.

i wouldnt even pay £30+ a night ever id rather not go and stay at home.

mike

another vote for giving unity a miss - we hated it.  too big, too cramped, entertainment was iffy, adult bar full to bursting with static owners who stared at you cos they didn't know you

Have been to Unity in the past, but no way would I pay that! We are going to Cornwall for £24 a night in August in a tourer, much preferable to Brean!

If people are prepared to pay it then they will contine to charge it. Crazy!
