Hi all,

Myself and my wife plus a few friends (11 of us altogether, 3 ladies and 8 men) are looking to go camping over a weekend but are finding it very difficult to find a campsite that allow groups. It is so frustrating as we are all in our late twenties / early thirties and are being tarred with the same brush as rowdy teenagers and other youngsters who have spoilt it in the past! We would appreciate it very much if anyone could advise us on campsites either in the northumberland or north yorkshire areas.

Try Cote Ghyll (Osmotherley, near Northallerton)

We stayed there May bank holiday and there were several groups (tents and caravans) who had come togehter and had all been pitched next to each other.

The National Trust site at Low Wray (Windermere) has group pitches. 

Great site it is, too!
