Am travelling to Devon on my on with kids and trailer tent 1st week of summer hols on Monday am. Would prefer to go A303 but not sure about parking at services. On motorways pull into caravan parking usually by coaches and no need to reverse!! Just wondered has anyone experience of services on A303?

most services on the A303 are just petrol stations with a small parking, but there are a few, cartgate on the 303 just outside yovil is a good one for you, no reversing needed there but food way way over priced, and solstice services are ok, there are a few cafes that have some parking to where you dont need to reverse but i dont know what there called.

We stopped at Solstice Services last year on our way 'down west'; as it was the middle of the night there was plenty of room just to pull up and pull out.

I can't be done with having to manoeuvre in service areas - not quite that confident yet!! I would have hated to visit Solstice during daylight hours though. There are LGV parking spaces, but not many, and if they're full there aren't many other options. Plus some service areas get a little uppity about caravans parking in lorry parking spaces.

Don't know about the others though.
