Thinking of booking Polmanter in St Ives, I know you can book your pitch but as we've never stayed there before I was wondering if any of you had a really good pitch that you can recommend. We will be in a Folding Camper with awning, so would require Electric Hook Up.
Thanks
Michelle

We always book on the Morvah field as it is at the highest point and has a good view over Carbis bay. It has an excellent shower/toilet block the standard of which I have not seen elsewhere and for us it is close to the dog walking field. The pitches are large although the pitches on Polmanter are of a good size. On Morvah we could get our Monty6 tent with front extension and side canopy plus our Sunncamp day tent plus our car. We now get our caravan, awning and car and probably only use 2/3 of the pitch. I cant comment on the facilities at Polmanter as we use the site early and late season to miss the mad rush but it has a good pool, tennis courts, pitch and putt, a games room , and a takeaway and has won a number of awards- and we use the site alot.

Hello, we have stayed at Polmanter on two occasions and I must admit the site is perfect, this is based on keeping two teenage boys happy! ( no small feat ), all the pitches are large however some drain better than others, the bus back and forth ti St Ives is very handy as is the local pub just up from the entrance of the site. Mind you book early as this site fills up quickly, even though its prices are high. Have fun its great.
We have a 14 year old daughter, so glad to hear you managed to keep your two happy!! Which pitch / area were you on? I'm going to give them a call soon, to see when they will start taking bookings for next year!
We stayed at Polmanter a couple of years ago, very, very nice site, we stayed on Morvah too enough room for our tt with the extra 1.5 metre extension that goes between the main cabin and the awning, sun canopy on the front of that, 2 cars and a pup tent. Loads of room and lovely facilities and St Ives is one of my fav. places.
Enough on site to keep everyone happy
Helen
