Hi all,

I am looking to take my 8yr old away the back end of this week and I would love to take him to a child friendly campsite.  I have done the Haven thing and and want something a little less commercial (and cheaper) for this trip.

Looking for somewhere in striking distance of West Yorkshire all suggestions welcome

Vauxhall in Great Yarmouth is a similar style site to haven but much better run. We are heading there this weekend for 9 days and its only £17 per night till the 4th July

clumber park is brilliant for kids and surrounding areas sherwood pines sherwood forest visitors centres loads to do and its all free

Thank you both - I had forgotten about Clumber Park, I used to go when I was a child.   that settles that then :-)  

Might try Vauxhall later in the year - looks fab for children
