Hi There, it really is a case of picking an area and find out which sites in that area do seasonal pitches and taking time to visit them to see what you think of them. We used to have seasonal in Killin which is about an hour and a half out of Glasgow. It was a basic site but lovely and quiet, My parents now have a seasonal there, it was £700 for this season.
When you find site be sure to find out if winter storage, electricity etc is encluded in the price and also if friends and family are allowed to use it and if so what the price is. Every site has different ways of charging.
You might want to have a look on The CC site if you are a member as I'm sure they have a list of seasonal sites.
Hope this helps
