Thanks cheshirecraig, it does help ,I guess its a nice site then as you have been a few times .  i have noticed your from the same area as us, do you have a good run down.

Nicky as Cheshirrecraig says it can get quite windy on this site but thats the North Coast of Cornwall for you, many of the sites there can get windy. Bear in mind if you are using yoiur Diablo you may need many hands on deck to get the fly over.  Many tents are damaged because they are not guyed out properly and my advise would be to make sure you use all the guys on your Diablo and dont share pegs.

Hi Nicky, Yes agree with Nigel, if you have a decent tent and put it up properly you will be ok. We have been there many times and would not hesitate to go again. It is a big site with a lot of static caravans. It has a large club but we always went to the conservatory where it is more casual and relaxed. It is adjacent to the pool and has a cheap food service and they also have entertainment on in peak season. It also overlooks the sea and is agreat place to watch the sunset. Also if you have bad weather you can retreat there as it is open all day and has sofas next to the big windows overlooking the sea. We tend to set out the night before have our evening meal on the way, go the scenic route on the A49 and join the motorway at the Severn bridge. We stop at a motorway service station just over halfway at about 11.30 and stay the night and set off again at 6. We usually get to the campsite about 9 in the morning and have everything set up by late morning (provided there is no one on your pitch. Ps you must try Phillps pasties in Hayle.

sorry Cheshirecraig but its Philps Pasties in Hayle on East Quay in the harbour or Foundry Square under the railway bridge, a family business established many moons ago and reputed to be the best pastie bakery in Cornwall. The original bakery is still open in Marizion.
