Does anyone have any experience of how busy Llyn Gwynant is in the summer holidays? As you cannot book and I live a four hour drive away I don't want to risk turning up and finding it either full or looking like a festival. Also advice on which part of the site to stay on would be very helpful! Thanks
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I have just come back from a weekend in Llyn Gwynant. I have no idea how busy it gets in the summer holidays, but I would guess it would be pretty packed if this last weekend was anything to go by, and the weather forecast was not great then either. There was still plenty of room to camp but there were a lot of people there, and some were more noisy than they should have been. It might be a good idea to give them a ring and just find out what the place is like during the holidays. Be aware that they do accept groups, it is by no means restricted to families. We stayed in one of the car-free areas, which is OK if you don't have too much stuff, or the weather is good. If you camp by the lake it is very windy and if you camp by the river you might have a midge problem!
Hi, Did you go in the end, if so what was it like? I have just found this site doing a search on here and am thinking of it for next summer as I have never been to Snowdonia. It sounds lovely. Does it have EHU's?
