Hi and welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy your trip to the UK.
Sussex can be popular, though you may get away without a reservation but, for Devon and Cornwall I would book. They can be extremely popular in July and August and if you've got a big outfit I wouldn't consider going unless you've booked. Just to explain, Devon and Cornwall are possibly the most popular locations in the UK for summer holidays due to the slightly better weather (haha!) and lovely beaches and coastline. Hope this helps
