You could try using Transport for London web site (tfl.gov.uk)

I think Chesrtsey is within the London area for buses which mean you could use travelcads and/or Oyster cards

Hi

Chertsey is about 20 miles from London City.  The best thing to do it to park at Weybridge station and get the overground train straight into Waterloo (no changes).  It's about 20-30 minutes by train.  You can buy a one day travel card which would allow you to travel on overground and underground trains as well as buses.  These tickets are cheaper to buy online and if you buy group tickets (I think it's only 4 or 5 you need to buy to qualify as a group-not sure how many of you there are?), they can be as cheap as £5.00 each.  From Waterloo, you can pick up an underground map and go anywhere you want in London.  They also offer discounts on attractions when travelling by train.  Of course, when in Waterloo, you may get black cabs, although this is an expensive way to travel.  There is a train station in Chertsey, alhough you would have to change to get to the city.

Enjoy!!

Thanks for this! We're going to Chertsey at the end of August so this is useful. It should only take about 10 minutes to walk to Weybridge but they have a car park - pay and display - which we might use. Any more advice would be welcome from me too!!!
