I went to the site yesterday for the day. My parents are staying there in their caravan for the week and as its only about an hour from where I live I decided to pay them a visit and see what the site is like. I have read all the rave reviews on here.
I have to say I was very impressed, even though it rained nearly all day, the site is very well laid out and even though it was full it didn't seem hemmed in. Still lots of space to move around. The owners are great and very helpful, they have a lovely reception area with a fridge stocked full of essentials, milk, welsh butter, free range eggs, bacon, orange juice, water and the prices were pretty good. They also had a freezer with bread rolls and organic bread for sale.
They had a seperate campers kitchen area with 2 fridges and 2 freezers and a microwave which you could use free of charge. The laundry was well equipped and you had 3 indoor washing up areas..
You can hire a barbecue if need be and they have charcoal and logs for sale.
As this is so close to home, it would be ideal for a short break or weekend if the weather improves and with the walks, lakes, streams etc and little bridges everywhere it really is nice.
Sounds more like a review but to all who are visiting there, enjoy....
