Hi all

given the wonderful people and years of experience on the forum i was wondering has anyone got details of a really quiet campsite, 2 hrs max from Liverpool?

dont want to sound anti-social but we live in a noisy street, noisy neighbours etc and i love getting away from it all, but have been to some camps that are as bad as the street

not bothered about level of facilities etc, spent some time in capel curig area but like to try new places

would prefer one that we can have a campfire on too, if that combination exists

any ideas?
thanx

sharon

Hi Sharon not sure of where to suggest but just wanted to say i know where your coming from! We used to live in an awful area about 5yrs ago and our seasonal pitch was our only sanctuary lol. Every friday night we packed up and looked forward to some peace and normality. Have you thought about joining one of the caravan clubs? From what i can gather the sites appear to be peaceful.

Good luck!

Hi Carmey33

thank you, its good to know that others do the same ( i thought i was the only one), living where we do has changed everything in our lives, and not positively, camping weekends have become our sanctuary

weve recently joined the c&cc, but havent got out to one yet, hoping to this weekend, fingers crossed, legs crossed and anything else crossed

the forum and whole website has been really good, the reviews on sites are what makes us choose somewhere and the support from other campers is fab

thanx again

Sharon

We just came back from Aberdaron on Llyn peninsular.  Stayed at Mur Melyn £8 with EHU and £5 without.  Very quiet site on farm.  There were two fields and we were in the bottom one for 10 nights. There were no more than two other tents on the field with ours for all of that time.  People came and went.  Some nights we were the only ones there.  Two showers (2 x 20p for 3mins ish).  3 toilets (no hot water). At first we were disgruntled because no washing up sinks but actually this was no problem and we just washed up in a bucket.  Peace and quiet made up for lack of facilities.  Lots of walks.  If that site not suitable I'm sure you would like the area and ideal from Liverpool.  We drove through Nefyn area on way home and thought that would be a good place to camp as stunning scenery.
