Can anyone recommend a waterside campsite in the central england area? Somewhere northern central would be pref (e.g.Peak district, Derbyshire, Staffordshire area). Don't mind if it's a river, lake or canal! We've searched the map and just can't seem to find anything.

Shardlow Marina,Derby, There are some lovely walks along the river,and allso you have the Marina.

I have just come back from Laneside in the Hope Valley area of Derbyshire absolutely stunning views with a little stream running through the camp-site

Couple of suggestions but not much in your neck of the woods.

Wigrams in Warwickshire. Further south the C&C club site at Chertsey and if you can venture into Wales Ty Isaf Nr Bala could be worth a try

Have a look at Bosworth water also, bit further south though but not much. Only about 1.5 hrs away from us in Cheshire
