Hello All.

As a family we are very new to all things "camping"...

Not to sure but maybe as a moment of madness, last year we purchased a tent and have continued to add all the little extras as advised by friends and yourselves on this site. However with the weather being as "British" as can be we have been unavailable to get away so far..

I have purchased the Hookup for the tent and was wondering if anyone could recommend a site within North Wales "llandulas Conwy LLandudno" etc that has hookup availability for tents.

We are based in Derby and any site recommendations around our area also might be of great help... Ideally we are looking for the hookup options for a tent on the site..

Big Thanks In Advance!!

Kingsbridge outside Beaumaris on Angelsey is excellent.  As you are based in Derby Cannock Chase campsite is lovely, Quarry Walk, Cheadle S-o-T is another good one.

Best wishes

Hey jonnic...

Whereabouts in Derby are you based? There are loads of campsites locally, Rivendale nr Buxton... BeeHive Farm near Swadlincote is OK ... Callow Top at Ashbourne gets good reviews... The KnockerDown near Carsington good for a pub stopover...

IMO Angelsey is a beautiful part of the North Wales coastland and definetely worth the extra 30 minutes travelling... Beaumaris is a beautiful little town, never stayed at Kingsbridge, but Beaumaris def worth a visit. We stayed on the further down the penisula(?) near Nevyn last year on a small site. Was quiet and had hookup. Was cheap though - £12 a night I think. Graeanfry Farm I think it was called...

We enjoyed Birchwood Campsite in Derby. Nice wooded area at the side of the site for the children to build dens,  nice walk down to canal and to village and not too far from Matlock Bath and very reasonably priced too.

Coldsprings Farm in Buxton is nice for famlies, on top of a hill, so wonderful views, but not so good in unclement weather as it is very exposed.
