Welcome to UKC. Have you done a camp site search??? I just had a look and theres a number of camp sites in the pickering area.

Might be a little late but dont forget a lot of sites dont take bookings and work on a first come first served basis. I would email of phone first with those ones though and get there early especially at the weekends. I booked fforest field in wales 6 days ago and we got on there for tomorrow so im sure theres plenty room else where.

  Black Bull at Pickering (behind the Black Bull pub) and Upper Carr (opposite the Black Bull pub) are both just outside Pickering, not far from the road leading up to Flamingo Land. Both are pleasant sites, clean toilets/showers etc with small play areas.

  Have just spent four nights at Wyse House, which is further down the road from Pickering, nearer to Malton, small site with lovely family sized bathrooms, trampoline in the ground, playhouse and rope swing in the field on the walk to the river.

  As ChrisL has stated type in Pickering into the campsite search, you haven't put what your unit is (only guessing at tent) as there are some sites round there which are just for caravans, if you use the 'new' method 1, this allows you to search by using a pointer on a map, which will bring up all the sites within a 20 mile radius.
