Just returned from here (cut short our holiday) due to standard of the pitches - sodden! We were unable to get a hard standing and the grass pitch we used was already VERY wet when we set up on Saturday afternoon. Non stop rain on Sunday left us almost ankle deep in our awning (and the grassed areas in general) - which made it unuseable! To get to the roadway, we had to roll up trousers legs and use wellies or Crocs - other shoes/trainers would have been ruined. Our feet were permanently wet. After seeing the flood warning for today, we decided to cut our losses and leave. Wardens said they had been refunding people all week due to the poor drainage on the site. Obviously needs some investment by the Caravan Club. Also quite near to road - unusual for a CC site - and could be noisy for anyone pitched on that side. I suggest if you're booked in here in the next week or so, give the wardens a quick ring and check on the state of the site before you set out.
