Stayed in the lower field at East Fleet last weekend and had no problems at all.  The field is on a slight slope so seems to drain well.

I was right at the bottom of the field, in front of a hedge which bordered the field (the sea was literally the other side!) and even after it rained continuously from Sunday evening through to Monday morning, heavily at times, it wasn't at all muddy.

Hope that helps.

Hello again 17

I didn't eat in the pub, but it seemed quite popular.  I was impressed with the shop (then again, I only have experience of 2 campsites 17 ) but they had lots of fresh produce, milk, eggs, bacon etc.  I managed to lose my shower gel and shampoo after leaving it in the cubicle, expected to pay over the odds in the shop but paid £1.05 each for shampoo and conditioner, so that was a very nice surprise.  The shop is open from 8am to 8pm, which was useful.

Loads of camping gear in the shop too, fairly competitively priced.

I really liked the site and the Lower Field was not at all muddy, despite the rain.  If you're on one of the larger pitches, ie up from where I was (mine was 283), then you should have a good view of the sea 17  Also, the larger pitches are near the toilet/shower blocks.

Hope you have a great time

PS pubgirl21 - East Fleet is a FANTASTIC site.  We ate in the pub every night.  Food was quick, reasonably priced pub grub.  You can't beat it after a long day walking!17
