I'm looking to organize a long weekend next summer for around 8 to 10 tents - made up of a mixed groups of friends and families with a few children.
We'd like to find somewhere where we can have the whole place to ourselves (so that we can have a few sing-songs without becoming a nuisance!), ideally be able to have a camp-fire, and still have fairly decent shower/toilet facilities.
People will be coming from all over the country (and further afield) so location isn't as key as finding the right place.
Any suggestions?
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I'm really looking for somewhere a lot smaller (with only around 10 pitches so that we can have the whole site) and ideally somewhere where we can have a camp fire.
I don't know any sites I could recommend, but another option to bear in mind is some sites have rally fields that you could book. No guarantees you'd have it to yourself, or that you'd have electric points, but it's worth a try. Especially if you follow Homebird's link to sites that allow campfires, do a bit of research, and hopefully come up with something to suit. Hope you manage to find something
