Hi all,
Had so much advise and tips from you all, and have always valued campsite reviews and the info they provide, good and bad. Thanks.
So I would just like to give a little insight into The Pinewoods site in Wells, Norfolk.
Firstly, they will not accept any bookings for tent pitches and advise turning up in the hope they will be able to fit you in, this is not so bad if you dont have far to travel (like us) but not good if you are coming from any great distance. I understand this is about weather conditions and grass drainage, but every other site I've used manages. (No 1 GRAAAAR!)
Secondly, we arrived as instructed after 9am, to be told they have no space but do have overflow pitches available, Ok, no electic but so what. We will go and check it out...... the field looks like it has been used for a tank demo, my fat eric could have never produce a good nights sleep looking like a caterpillar. " Um, "there are facilities on the field" we were told, 8 porta loos, absolutely discusting. Washing up simks and showers 10mins walk away along with fresh water, which were also so dirty and stunk.
Thirdly, all this for the bargain price of £27.50 + extras a night!!
We thought about it for a second and have just had dinner at home!!
