Okay so the tent has yet to be purchased (tomorrow's job) but already we are on the hunt for a site or two before the end of the school hols.
As virginal campers we kind of want to ease the family into a non-5 star existence so have a list of requirements/wants/needs for a campsite - can anyone help?
Location: Ideally W.Dorset (I really want to get a day of decent sea fishing in at Lyme Regis) but honestly within 3-4 hours of London is fine.
Facilities:
- Clean, modern(ish) and plentiful or quiet
- flat well drained pitches
- electric hookup (gotta keep connected for some work)
- family friendly - not fussed on entertainment, has field kids will play ;o)
- wi-fi would be wicked but a decent O2 or 3 signal would suffice
Cost:
I'll happily pay a fair price for a fair spot but there does seem to be a fair few bigger operations charging like wounded male bovines for what appear to be huge packed sites. Rather pay premium for non-Butlins camp to be fair.
Any thougts gratefully received.
Thanks
