Help! Anybody know of any first come first served campsites south of Manchester? We'd consider anything within maybe 2.5/3 hours drive from Manchester including places like the peak district, oxfordshire, gloucester, wales etc but maybe not the south coast. Thanks

Henllys in towyn N wales.They dont take bookings there but we've never been there yet and been turned away.

Shell Island - "biggest campsite in Europe" - check their website for percentage occupancy of the site, local weather forecast etc. Assuming you use a tent (or campervan "with a tent for sleeping") as they cant accept caravans.
