Hiya, can anyone tell me if they allow BBQ's on this site?

Don't want to squeeze it in if they dont!

Thanks xx

Yeah we had a BBQ and a fire or 2.

We did a group booking for about 20 or so of us and they put us right at the entrance in a secluded bit all to ourselves.

We were about a mile down the road from the pub bit. Wow what a big site!

We preferred our pitch area though as otherwise you would be looking for your car to get down into Conwy.

I rave about Conwy Touring Park - We have been there twice this year and going there for the Fireworks Weekend end of Sept. Great site.

We had a bbq no problem -  Just watch for the squirrels - they got into our galley - cheekly blighters - but the place is just so relaxing and plenty of area to walk too.

Have a great time.

Hi Fionna,

Read somewhere that you had a good tip for the best pitch at Conwy Touring Park. Any chance you could tell me please? :) We're going the last week of June 2011, so if that doesn't clash with your plans, maybe you can email me your tip at dr.farley.df at googlemail.com

Thanks

Dan

Hello Dan

Now Im only giving this to you because I know I shant be there end of June - but we did go to Conwy last Aug bank Hol and on recommendation - we stayed on the Red Site - well Im just sorry I didnt heed my advice and stay at my usual pitch ! but never mind - we learn !

Anyway - back to my favourite pitch - it might not suit you but give it a try - Ask for 38 Blue - its a little area of 4 pitches - 37 is on the corner - 38 is backing onto the sinks and on a slope then 38 is next with a hedge at the back of the tent and 39 is to the right of it - also with a hedge - so even if 38 has gone - ask for 39 - both pretty even and have a hedge at the back of them.

If you would like to send me your email address - I could forward you a couple of pics of the pitch if that would help.  Have a brilliant time - when booking - ask for Sandra and you can say I recommended the site via UKC, I did tell her I'd put a comment on here.

Hope to speak soon

Fionna

Hi Fiona,

thanks! I put my email adress in the first message - it would be ace if you could send pics. My slight worry about being near the sinks is that it might be noisy...? Do you which pitches might have a view of the estuary?

Thanks, Dan

Ps - we'll need a 10amp hook-up, so not sure if blue has these? I've seen people post that different colours have different ampage hook-ups - do you know which has what?

Hi again Dan

Just in the middle of sending you an email with a photo of our tent pitched at 38B  In my previous message above I said 38B backed onto the sinks - sorry it doesnt - thats 37B - 38B is backing onto the hedge with the toilets/showers/sinks to the left ( as if looking directly at the pitch)  . If you go onto the website - you can download a map of the area - have tried scanning it and sending it but its too big - speak soon

Fionna
