just spent 10 days at beacon hill with my family ,we had intended to go to wareham forest park but found they were full on the days we wanted.after booking up i read the site reviews for beacon hill almost all didn,t have a good word to say about the place.so after an uneventful journey we arrived only to find a camper van parked on most of our pitch. the receptionist was quite helpful and relocated us on a much better pitch as we had paid for a large pitch due to the size of our TT .we found the reviews to be pretty accurate, dated showers, site generally neglected, shop didn,t even have newspapers, tennis courts had grass growing through the edges of the court and we had to fix the net every time we wanted to use it, and the pool was so cold even my youngest son didn,t stay in to long and he,s a t-shirt kid in winter.the only plus for the site was the fishing lakes.its a real shame the site has been ruined as with some money spent on it ,it could be a top site, even with a good tidying up would make a big difference, left in the state we found it ,we will not be returning here.
